Who we are
We are an independent family business with long experience in the
home credit industry. Formed in Swindon in 1930 by Denis and Leonard Winslow,
the business is run today by Ken and Simon Winslow, son and grandson
of the Founder.
We began as credit retailers - selling clothing, footwear, household
goods, beds, furniture and floor coverings - payable by weekly payments,
collected from customers' homes. 45 years later, short-term cash
loans were introduced, and the demand soon overtook that for merchandise.
Cheque cashing was introduced in 1993 - the first such office in
Swindon. With a long background and tradition in financial services
and the processing of cash, we believe we have the required knowledge
and ability for this service, together with a better understanding
of our customers' needs.
Today we have two offices in Wiltshire- Swindon and Trowbridge - and a third in Basingstoke, Hampshire-

How we Operate
As Members of the British Cheque Cashers Association (BCCA) and
the Consumer Credit Association of the United Kingdom (CCA) we are
committed to high standards of service and a professional approach
to every aspect of customer care.
We have a professional team of staff who cash cheques in an efficient,
courteous and friendly manner.
We cash most cheques on the spot. The initial process takes no
more than 5 or 10 minutes, and further transactions take only a
couple of minutes. We aim never to keep a customer waiting.
Our Customers are issued with a unique plastic ID photo card (Credit
card size).
We are linked to an organisation called "Money Shop"
which has a branch in all major towns nationwide and, with an ID
card, our customers can cash cheques in most of them.We will continue
to provide an expanding service in , Southern England along with our linked
businesses in the West Country and South West Scotland.
